So after a long Easter weekend our Little Guy was exhausted Sunday night...so we thought. We put him to bed early that night- he only had a 45 minute nap. After we said "goodnight," Michael and I were in our room watching TV and finally getting to relax when a little someone comes bounding into our room, "I jump!" First of all I had a slight heart attack- it's quite a surprise to see your little one running around when you think he's safe and sound in his crib. After Michael and I stared at each other in disbelief- he said again, "I jump!", just as happy as he could be. So we walked him back to his crib, put him to bed again and then peeked into his room just to see how it was done. Sure enough- he throws his little leg over the top of the rail, then as slick as MacGyver- he lowers himself down without a sound. He came running to us so excited about his new found adventure. He was absolutely wired after this- he didn't go to sleep for another 2 hours. We put up a baby gate so he was held captive in his room if he continued to get out. Finally after wearing himself out from crying because he was locked in his room and his continuous Olympic crib jumping event- he fell asleep. Last night we converted his bed into a toddler bed so he wouldn't break his leg if he kept trying to get out of his crib. He was so excited about his new bed- we just let him take a few minutes to get his excitement out- he was jumping on his bed, running back and forth and jumping over the little rail, finally he composed himself and we were able to lay down and read a book. We told him "goodnight" and left the room- we didn't hear any type of commotion or crying and about a half hour later we checked on him and he was fast asleep in his big boy bed- so cute, but can't believe he is that big already!
